DevLog #6 - Tools of Destruction!

Tools of Destruction!

We've demonstrated that you can break furniture into a million pieces, let's show you what you'll use to break it this week!

We've worked hard to bring you a selection of weapons that fit your style. Do you have a favourite?
(P.S. You're out of luck, they drop randomly and are very LIMITED EDITION!)

I love menus, do you?

Did you spot something? Yes? Good for you! No? Well here it is anyway in a better look!

In-game UI!

You can now see the score you get by looking at your respective corner!

Effects!

We've added an effect when you are walking around breaking furniture. Fear not, more effects will be added by next time! I bet you cannot wait to see explosions when destroying furniture besides seeing the pieces fly away!

New Features

Weapon drops!

Besides power ups, weapons can drop now too. Be careful though, they break faster than your trusty hammer!

More cops!

Yes, you heard that right. You thought only one cop would chase you? WRONG! Multiple will try to catch you. As an old friend once said... RUN MR. RACCOON, RUN!

Unlimited generation!

In this build, zones actually keep on going, don't stop now!

Technical changes

Zone Generation

As we keep generating zones and more objects, all that broken furniture is left behind once you get past that zone. We've now implemented a system to clean this up so you can enjoy the game lag-free as you keep on breaking! (We'll try to keep improving as lag occurs)

Health Bar? Why?

We've added a health bar specifically for the doors as they deserve an indication when they would break. They are very important in the game loop as they will be your hinder and possible way to get caught faster than expected by the cops. Always think of the doors. You gotta knock before you can enter (or leave in this case)!

Gameplay!

For this DevLog we have a small snippet of gameplay we took with 3 players! (You can play with up to 4!)

(P.S. Let it load for a bit, it's quite the sizeable GIF!)

Easter!

Easter holiday is nearing and we'll be hard at work making much more progress on Time to Destroy! which means next week you won't be expecting a DevLog. Let me tell you, it's going to be worth the wait!

Thanks for tuning in on our 6th DevLog!
